After a brief stretch of games at Golden 1 Center, the Sacramento Kings hit the road once again. Their first matchup of a three-contest trip is a clash against the Phoenix Suns.

The Suns welcome the Kings into the Valley of the Sun fresh off a 110-101 loss at home to the Portland Trail Blazers. Trailing 68-50 in the second half, Phoenix made a furious comeback to tie up the game. From there, it was neck-and-neck until the final four minutes, when the Blazers outscored the Suns by 10 to blow the game wide open.

The Suns were led by Devin Booker and Eric Bledsoe, who scored 28 and 19, respectively. Their efforts were countered by Portland’s own dynamic backcourt duo of Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum, who scored 39 and 26, respectively.

Meanwhile, the Kings hit the road after closing out their home stand with a 120-115 win over the Orlando Magic. With several veterans sitting out Monday’s game, the victory was characterized by the Kings youth movement. Georgios Papagiannis recorded his first meaningful minutes of the season. At one point in the contest, he shared the court with fellow rookies Skal Labissiere and Buddy Hield.

The victory came on the back of a well-rounded effort, with seven different Kings scoring in double-figures. The team was led by Darren Collison and Anthony Tolliver, who each scored by 19 points. The team shot 53.7 percent from the field and 53.3 percent from long distance.

The Kings hope to record their second-straight win when they visit Phoenix.
